EDUCATION AND RESEARCH

He is a PhD. candidate, and was conferred with BA Degree and MA Degree in Central China Normal University. He studied as a visiting scholar of Comparative Literature Department in State University of New York at Binghamton from September 2006 till September 2007. His research interest area covers literary translation, business translation, and technical translation. Now he is doing research on the studies of Western Sinologist’s English translation of ancient Chinese poetry.

His publications include two co-authored books and more than forty academic papers concerning with translation study in Journal of Chinese Translators and some other academic journals. His research programs involve the research on Anlo-American translators’ English translation of classic Chinese poems and on Stephen Owen’s English translation of Tang poems, both of which was/is granted by Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.

魏家海（1965—），男，教授（华中师范大学英语系），先后在华中师范大学外语学院英语系获学士和硕士学位，华中师范大学英语系博士在读，硕士生导师，国家公派访问学者访学美国State University of New York at Binghamton（2006.9——2007.9）。研究方向：翻译学和文学翻译。

5. 主持完成武汉理工大学基础研究和教学研究课题两项

6.参与国家社科基金“基于语料库的严复变译思想研究”（2008）和湖北省教育厅教研课题“本科生翻译能力拓展模式研究”（2009）
